Marc Lock - Managing Director

Marc founded the company as DFR while still serving in the Police, later rebranding it to MRG Civil as the business grew. His leadership style — shaped by years of decisive, people‑focused work — remains at the core of how the company operates today.

He has been instrumental in delivering residential, boutique, and community projects across the Wellington region, driving the team with the same competitive energy he brings to the golf course and to cheering on the Crusaders.

These days Marc spends less time on the tools and more time leading the business and keeping everything moving, often from the other end of a phone call.

Jesse Burdan - General Manager

Jesse is the central hub for everything civil at MRG. His years in the Army built the discipline, resilience, and calm-under-pressure mindset that define the way he leads. With experience managing large-scale projects and a hands-on background a wealth on knowledge in groundworks, he navigates high-pressure environments in a way that’s both ruthlessly efficient and precision‑driven, keeping every job moving in the right direction.

Jackson McKendry - Project Supervisor

Jackson has been with DFR since the early days. Now with MRG Civil, he manages and supports the ground teams in all technical and logistical matters. From machine operating, underground infrastructure, finishing concrete, and anything in-between.

Sochetara Ngeth - Contracts Manager

After more than eight years running busy private practice's, Socheatra has traded the clinic for the civil world. She joins MRG Civil with a massive track record in keeping complex operations moving and making sure the "behind the scenes" runs like a well-oiled machine. Socheatra, is all about clear communication and keeping things precise, ensuring our contracts and projects stay on track from start to finish.

Calum Woodill - Team Lead

Calum has been with us since 2020. The day before the covid lockdowns. Whether is it managing his own jobs or supporting bigger projects, Calum is always looking ahead to what is next to keep our teams running smoothly.

Kane Quinn - Team Lead

Kane joined us in 2022. He will pick up any job and drive it. Spending more time in the drainage team lately Kane is still just as comfortable on a machine making the first site cut of a development as he is completing the final touches to a landscaping project.

Nathan Gloag - Team Lead

With close to 30 years in the civil industry, Nathan brings a depth of experience that's hard to match. Highly skilled across building, retaining, and site operations, he is a specialist machine operator whose expertise underpins some of our most demanding groundwork. A steady hand and a wealth of knowledge, Nathan has seen it all and knows how to get it done.
